One of the leading private sector construction consultancies in PQS market a are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to support the delivery of a major multi-billion pound UK transmission infrastructure programme. This is a senior leadership role operating at portfolio level, supporting the commercial and procurement strategy across a large-scale capital delivery programme.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Procurement/ Commercial and will oversee the performance and delivery of several Procurement and Commercial Leads who manage portfolios of major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide portfolio-level commercial leadership across a major transmission infrastructure programme.
- Manage and support Procurement / Commercial Leads responsible for portfolios of projects valued in the £billions.
- Ensure robust commercial governance, procurement strategy, and contract management across the programme.
- Work closely with senior programme leadership to drive commercial performance, risk management, and value optimisation.
- Provide strategic input into procurement strategies, commercial frameworks, and supply chain engagement.
- Support programme delivery by ensuring consistent commercial standards, reporting, and controls across multiple projects
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing complex commercial and procurement activities within the energy or utilities sector
- Proficiency in NEC, utilities, and procurement processes, with a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes
- Ability to operate at a senior level, demonstrating strategic thinking and effective stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Willingness to travel regularly to Scotland
