One of Huntsman’s repeat clients has an exciting opportunity for an experienced MEP Cost Manager to join their growing team based in the City.
They are looking for an experienced MEPH Senior Cost Manager to join a leading consultancy, working across a portfolio of high-profile residential, hotel and commercial  developments throughout the UK, ranging in value from £20m to £150m.

You must have strong experience across both pre- and post-contract MEPH cost management, with the technical expertise and commercial confidence to take ownership of project delivery, provide specialist advice and build strong relationships with clients and project teams.

You will be reporting to an Associate Director or Director and taking a lead role in the MEPH cost management of major schemes, mentoring and overseeing junior members of staff.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Fill ownership of day-to-day MEPH cost management across a range of projects
  • Lead cost planning, estimating, procurement and post-contract cost management through to completion
  • Provide expert commercial advice on MEPH costs, risk, procurement and value engineering
  • Work closely with clients, consultants and wider project teams to deliver successful project outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, including engagement with senior stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Support and mentor junior team members, helping to develop technical capability within the team
  • Contribute to the continued development of MEPH technical expertise, including digital and data-led approaches to cost management

Key Requirements: 

  • Strong experience in MEPH cost management, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle, from cost estimating and planning through procurement and post-contract delivery
  • Good technical understanding of MEPH systems, technologies and their impact on project costs
  • Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of residential cost drivers and development objectives
  • MRICS or another relevant professional qualification preferred
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work to deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • An interest in digital, data and technology-driven approaches to construction and cost management
  • A genuine interest in the Real Estate and Construction sector and a desire to build a long-term career within consultancy

In return for your expertise, my client is offering is a competitive salary up to £80k (dependant on experience), and a strong benefits package including bonuses. This is a hybrid role with flexibility between office and home.
